CORRESPONDENCE.

CORRECTION.

TO THE EDITOE, Sir, —In a sub-leader which appears in your issue of 9th August, you give me credit for a great deal too much, and I cannot allow it to pass without taking notice of it while I appreciate jour evident good intention. You give me credit for promoting the proposed Timaru Fish Company. The fact is, that up to the present lime I have absolutely done nothing to advance it, beyond asking a few gentlemen to act as Provisional Directors and banding the prospectus to she printers ; the prospectus being drafted and banded to me bv the promoter-", who are the officers and some of the members of the South Canterbury Industrial Association, to whom ail credit is due. I have simply agreed to act as Broker for the Company. Then, as regards your remarks ahout the Industrial Association. I have cot even attended one of their meetings yet, nor done anything for or against this institution. Two gentlerapn wailed upon mc a few days ago and asked me if I would accept the Secretaryship, which I did, and have only this day had the books, etc., of the Society banded to me. You must, therefore, have been misinformed on the matter. Asking you kindly to insert this in your next issue, I am, etc., K. Sando. Timnru August 10.
