A WANT IN GERALDINE.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —Myself as well as many other residents in Geraldine were very glad to see " Progress's " letter in your isiue of August 2, in inference to the want of lamps along the main road in Geraldine. I can assure you on a dark night at times it is rather rough travelling along the road, but with the aid of a lamp plnced here and there this would be obviated in the future, and enable persons to go from one part of the township to the other with safety. Should the Geraldine Road Board cause the lamps to be erected, and maintain them, they will in leod be conferring a boon on the residents. I would point out to them that in order to attain their object they should have a petition drawn up and signed, to be presented to the Road Board during its next sitting. Trusting to soon hear of this being done, I am, etc., Safbty.
