GERALDLNE COURSING CLUB.

The last meet of the season was held on the property of Mr S. Skinner, Kakahu Flat, yesterday. There was a large muster of sportsmen on the ground. The following are the results : All-Aged Stakes, for an unlimited number of all-aged dogs, at £3 3s each. Winner, £lO 10s ; runnerup, £5 ss. FIRST ROUND. Mr Gould's r d Apoilo ran a bye. Mr Gould's Wicklow met Mr Connolly's Lurline. FINAL COURSE, Mr Gould's r d Apollo beat Mr Connolly's Lurline, and won the stake. Puppy Stakes, for an unlimited number of puppies, at £2 2s each. Winner, £5 5s ; runner-up, £3 Ss. FIRST ROUND. Mr T. Parrell's r b Virginia Water beat Mr Gould's Sea Queen. Mr J. P. Cunningham's r and w b Patience beat Mr T. Parrell's Nelly. FINAL COUKBE. Mr T. Farrell's r b Virginia Water beat Mr J. F. Cunningham's r and w b Patience, acd won the stake, after one of the longest and best courses of the day. Virginia Water's speed and staying powers are wonderful, as slip was an untrained and untried sapling. A sweepstake was afterwards ran, for which Messrs Farrell. Cunningham and other owners competed, resulting in a victory for Mr Gould's Sea Queen. Refreshments were served by Mr Farrell, of the Bush Hotel, Geraldine, giving great satisfaction to those assembled. At the close of the meeting three heaity cheers were given for Messrs Skinner Bros, for their kindness in allowing the course to be run on the iland.

Mr Charteris carried out his duties as judge in a very efficient manner.
