AUCTIONEERS,' REPORTS. TIMABTT. Messrs Maclean and Stewart report for the past week ending Saturday as follows: Horses At their yards to-day a small entry came to hand for sale, the quality in all classes being inferior, with the exception of two or three draughts which sold at up to L3O. Horses of this class are always in demand at fair prices. In hacks, the fntry of old crocks is increasing, and there are no really good sorts coming in for sale at present, They quote medium to good draughts, £22 10s to ±,30 ; inferior £l4 to £lB j hacks, best sorts, £l2 to £lB ; interior £4 to £8 10s. Cattle—-At Washdyke on Monday they yarded 150 head of stores, principally young cattle. For these there was very little competition, but steers two-year-old and oyer were in good demand and sold at fair rates, The entry ot fat cattle was a small one, and as butchers were well supplied previous to the sale, competition was dull. They quote prime beef at 22s 6d per lOOlbs. Privately and at auction they sold 80 head of stores, at for calves, 17s 6d to 22s ; yearlings, 32s to 35s ; 15 to 18 months' old steers and heifers at £2 2s 6d to £2 10s; cows, £3 10s to L 5 7s 6d,

Sheep—At the above sale on Monday they offered and sold 300 fat crossbred ewes at 18s 6d to 13s 9d. A* Winohester Fair on Thursday the only entry in sheep was 195 prime cross-bred wethers, which they disposed of at 14s 6d • They quote prime mutton at 2-|d per lb. They have no transactions in store sheep to report. Pigs—At Winchester they sold 10 it 20s each, and have enquiries for good stores.

New Zealand oats are worth 2s 3d per bushel. There is no New Zealand wheat in the market. Maize, per bushel, is worth 2s lOd. Sugar Company's No, 1 pieces, per ton, are quoted at £35.

Wheat is steady at ss. Town flour, per ton, is worth £ll 5s te £ll 10s, and country brands £lO 5s to £lO 10s.
