Post Moetem.—ln consequence ef it becoming known to Constable Willoughby at Geraldine, on Wednesday evening Isat that a newlyborn child was lying dead at Mrs Finn’s in Geraldine, it was deemed necessary to hold a post morlem examination of the body, which was accordingly done on Thursday afternoon last, by Dr Fish who ascertained that the child never actually lived, lb was born on Sunday morning last, but owing to Constable Willoughby being away on official duties on Monday and Tuesday he did not hear of the circumstance till Wednesday when ho coramunica'cd with the authorities accordingly. Of course it was deemed unneecssar yto hold an inquest.
