A meeting of the Directors of the above Company was held last Thursday evening in the Wallingford Hotel. Present —Messrs J Guild (Chairman), Hayhurst, Paterson, Gray, and Austin,
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. The following accounts were passed for payment : Contractor, balance of contract, £349 ; Commissioner of stamps, £3 7s 8i ; Total, £352 7s Sd. Mr Upfon was in attendance, and reported that the building had been completed in a satisfactory manner. Tt was decided that the fittings should be procure 1 without delay, and Mr Gray moved, and it was seconded by Mr Hayhurst—‘ That Mr Upton he authorised to call for tenders for the necessary planttenders to be in by Sepfemle' 15th. Mr Gray proposed, and it was seconded by Mr Austin—‘That the secretary be enmowerel to arrange for, and advertise, tbs general meeting to be held on or before the 22nd of August next.
