AUCTIONEERS’ REPORTS.

CHBISTCHUECH. Messrs Robert Wilkin and Co report; At the Addington Yards on Wednesday, 4916 sheep, 297 head of cattle and 140 pigs came forward. We sold prime cross-bred wethers at 16s 6d ; merino wethers, of medium quality, at 8s 6d ; store merinos, in drafts, from 4s to 5s Id ; pigs, prime, from £3 2s to £3 7s ; good do, from £2 3s.to £2 12s; small do, 255. At the sale of sheepskins held on Thursday in our New Zealand Wool Stores, we catalogued 3128 skins, but owing to the lateness of the hour we were unable to dispose of the \thole ; several lots had to be held over for next sale. Although buyers were well represented, prices were not equal to those of last week. Butchers’cross-bred, large, 4s 2d, 4s Bd,ss 3d ;do d‘>, medium, 2s 3d, 3s 2d, 4s 2d ; do do, small. Fat and tallow—There was a good attendance of buyers, and brisk competition. Fat, best clean and well saved, to 2£l per lb ; second quality to per lb ; tallow, in small lots, at 20s to 2Gs ptr cwt, and 2£d per lb ; hides, sound, dry salted, 3|d per lb ; wet salted, S£d per lb ; green, 3£d per lb ; damaged. per lb ; calfskins, sound, 3|d per lb ; cut and damaged at l|d per lb.

AUSTRALIAN MARKETS, Melbourne, Juue : 27. Shipping wheat has advanced 2d per

bushel during the week, and is now quoted at 5s Id. The market is improving. Malting barley is steady at 5s 6d to 6s. New Zealand oats—feeding sorts are worth 2s lid to 8s Id, and milling do 3s 2d to 3s 3d.
