CHBISTCHUECH. Messrs Robert Wilkin and Co report; At the Addington Yards on Wednesday, 4916 sheep, 297 head of cattle and 140 pigs came forward. At the sale of sheepskins held on Thursday in our New Zealand Wool Stores, we catalogued 3128 skins, but owing to the lateness of the hour we were unable to dispose of the \thole ; several lots had to be held over for next sale. Fat and tallow—There was a good attendance of buyers, and brisk competition. AUSTRALIAN MARKETS, Melbourne, Juue : 27. Shipping wheat has advanced 2d per

bushel during the week, and is now quoted at 5s Id. The market is improving. Malting barley is steady at 5s 6d to 6s. New Zealand oats—feeding sorts are worth 2s lid to 8s Id, and milling do 3s 2d to 3s 3d.
