E, SHERRATT, Returning Officer. Geraldine, Ist June, 1883. ju2 TO THE RATEPAYERS IN THE I GERALDINE ROAD BOARD DIS- ! TRTCT. GENTLEMEN, — I was persuaded yes. terday to become a Candidate for a Seat on your Board. If elected, I shall endeavor to see that the Road Board’s account is divided equally between the two Banks doing business in Geraldine. I am strongly opposed to a rate being struck, now the Government give no subsidy. It was different in times gone by, when we got pound for ponnd—it was bringing money then into the District. I shall advocate the Township being drained and made more healthy, as advised by yoar Medical Officer. I hope a better feeling will exist on the new Board, so that no member may glory in having “ bested ” bis neighbor. I believe in Liberality and Justice. I 3d our Obedient Servant, C. G. TRIPP.
