Did you hear him afterwards desired to do anything or go anywhere ? I asked Joe'Brady— ‘ What about this man V
That was Smith ? Yes. ‘Go to h—l out of that,’ he said; and I told him to go off home, and he did so. In what direction did he go, do you recollect-was it by the Park gate? Down by the Island Bridge gate and the Hibernian School.
After he went in that direction, what did Kavanagh do—did he remain with the car ? He was told to come back, and he drove back. At this time Smith had gone away, and there was a consultation among ourselves--between Curley, Brady and 1.
And what occurred then ? I asked Brady what was 110 do. ‘ You may go,’ S lid he ; * yon are not wanted here.’ Did you go? Yea,
In what direction did you go off’ then ? Bofore I went I said, ‘ Mind and be sure —the man with the grey suit.’

Did you look back and see the two gentlemen coming up to the men that yon had left there I Yes ; I was not 50 yards off.
Do you recollect at the time the two gentlemen were approaching these men that you have named did you see any car passing down from the Phoenix ? i d?d not.
Did you see a car going down 1 No ; but I heard of it afterwards from Joe Brady. WHAT CAREY ALLEGES HE SAW OF THE murders. When the gentlemen came up to where they were were they allowed to pass his collection ? They were,
And after they had passed, did you see anything done to one of the gentlemen ? When I passed about 350 yards from the place where I left these men I looked around. I looked around occasionally before that. When I had gone on that distance I turned round and saw the seven men meeting the two gentlemen. Meeting the two gentlemen 1 Yes. What did you see ] The first three were abreast. They were—Daniel Curley, Fagan, and Hanlon. Twelve feet after them, or about twelve feet, came Kelly and Brady ; about six behind them were Delaney and Caffrey. I saw them meeting the two gentlemen.
Were they allowed to puss ? Yea, they were allowed to pass through the ranks. They let them go through, and then I said to myself—
Never mind what you said to yourself | but tell me what yon saw 1 On going a few steps further I looked round and saw a right about movement made by the last four. I then went on a few steps further and looked round again. I saw the two men at the rear getting to the front and closing on the first two men.
Mr Murphy— I The two getlemen 1 Witness—Yes ; the two gentlemen.
Examination continued —Well, when you saw this ? What I saw then is what lam describing. When I looked around again I saw the two men coming into collision with the two gentlemen. The gentleman in grey was on the inside, but I did not know at the time who he was.
What did you see done then ? I saw this man (Joseph Brady) raising his left had and strike with it—his left hand—the gentleman in the grey suit. This is all I Si'l w (sensation). (To be Continued).
