RESIDENT MAGISTRATE’S COURT
Temuka— Monday, May 7, 1883. [Before J. Beswick, Esq., R.M.] drunkenness. Cornelius Donnovan, charged with being drunk in a public street, was fined ss. STRAY HORSES. Edward Forward, Gsorge Thompson, Robert Worthington nnd W. R. Uprichard were oil' charged nth allowing horses to wander at large, and a fine of 5s was inflicted for each offence. CIVIL CASES. Toomey v. Wishart—Claim £2 7s, for service of horse. Judgment for plaintiff. E. Brown v. E. J. Collins—Claim £3 18s 4d. Judgment by default for amount claimed together with costs, and immediate execution granted. Charles Hayes v. Charles Johnston —Claim for a balance of £22 10s. Mr Aspiuall appeared for plaintiff. Judgment for plaintiff. Same v. Cope (a Maori) —Claim £1 16s. Mr Aspiuall for plaintiff. Judgment for plaintiff.
