Holloway’s Ointment and Pills.—Diseases of the Bowels. —A remedy, which has been tested and proved in a thousand different ways, capable of eradiating poisonous taint* from ulcers and healing them up, merit* a trial of its capacity for es'racting the internal corruptions from the bowels. On rubbing Holloway’s Ointment repeatedly on the abdomen, a rash appears, and as it thickens the alvine irritability subsides. Acting as a derivative, this unguent draws to the surface, releases the tender intestines from all acrid matters, and prevents inflammation, dysentry, and piles, for which bits'ering was the oldfashioned, though successful treatment, now from its painfulnoss fallen i-ifco disuse, the discovery of this Ointment having proclaimed a remedy possessing eq tally derivative, ytt perfectly painless, powers.—[ 4dtt ]

GERALDINE COUNTY COUNCIL. ALTERATION OF BOUNDARIES TEMUKA AND GERALDINE ROAD BOARD DISTRICTS. I HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that at the next Ordinary Meeting of the County Council to be held on Wednesday, the 11th instant, I intend to PROPOSE that a SPECIAL MEETING of the Council bo held on Monday, the 23rd April, for the purpose of CONSIDERING the following MOTION as a Special Order “ That in accordance with Section 13 of the Road Boards Act 1882, the Council declare that the Road Boards of Geraldine and Temuka shall be dissolved from the sth day of May instant, and thattho elections decided by these Boards to be held on the 7th of May, under section 31 of the said Road Boards Act be, and is hereby deemed to be a sufficient prevision for the elections of the new Boards.” (Signed) JOHN TALBOT, F.
