ANNUAL PARISH MEETING.

The annual parish meeting of St. Saviour's, r lemuka, was held in the Church on Monday last at 8 p.m. Despite the weather there flasa good attendance, and warm interest was shown in Church matters.

The Rev T. A.. Hamilton piesided, and opened the meeting with prayer. After the minutes of the last annual meeting had been read and confirmed, the rev chairman stated that Mr R. A. Barker, Returning Officer for the Parish, was present to receive nominations for the office of Synodsman. Mr Alfred Cox was nominated by Mr Rutland, supported by Mr Wills, and being the only candidate was declared duly elected by the Returning officer. On the motion of Mr Piibrow, seconded by Mr Pearpoint, a vote of thanks was accorded to the Returning Officer, < The Chairman then called upon thj Churchwardens to present their annujl report and balance sheet.
