CHRISTCHURCH MARKETS
The New Zealand Farmer’s Co-opera-tive Association of Canterbury, Limited, report under date Tuesday evening February 20th : - Wheat—The market has suffered little, if any, from the slight reaction noted in our last report, and is brisk at full rates. Tuscan lias been leadily placed at equal to 4s 4d, f.0.b,, Lyttelton ; and pearl at a shade less Other wheats make proportionate, values. The arrival in New Zealand of a buyer on whose account a well-known firm have been operating, may be noted. Oats are reported as having been freely purchased in the northern portion of tiie district at rates higher than are ruling in Christchurch. Barley is expected io be in short supply, and decidedly inferior in quality. The sale of a large parcel in the Mothven district is reported at a price withheld, but understood to be better than -U Gd per bushel.
