' A Peculiar Case.— A peculiarly sad affliction lias fallen upon one of Inyercargill s most respected residents, whose daughter has been in a state of trance during the past fortnight (says the Mataura Ensign) - Foraboutan hour, at frequent intervals, there is a total suspension of mental power and voluntary action, but the pulse continues to beat, and breathing is quite perceptible. The doctors naturally experience much difficulty iu dealing with such a case.
