Sir, —I notice by to-day’s Dunedin telegrams in the Lyttelton Times that “ the planet Venus is plainly visible at Queenstown in sunlight now.” Surely Queenstown is not specially favored in this matter, considering any causuai observer in South Canterbury can enjoy the same privilege on almost any day.— I am, etc, Look Out for the Transit.
