Lokdok, Oct. 12, Mr Leonard H, Courtenay, M,P. for Liskerd, Cornwall, the Financial Secretary to the Treasury, addressed his constituents at Tor Point last night. In the course of his speech he referred at length to tuo Egyptian question, and stated his opinion that Egypt must he reunited to del ray all the expenses atten.ling the suppression of the rebellion in Unit country, lie further stated that England’s po'icv was to ‘detach Egypt from the suzerainty of the Sultan, and to take Steps to eitablish a European guarantee for the proper a lui'iuslralioa of the country. Alexaxuuia, Oct. 12. General JSir Archibald Alison will remain in this country in command of the army ot occupation. Sir Garnet Wolseley leaves for England on the 20th inst. Oct. U. The trial of Arahi and other" rebel officets will he commenced on. Monday next, the IGth inst. The Egyptian Government has consented to allow the prisoners the services of English counsel.
