ENGLISH AND FOREIGN. London, Oct. 6. A daring attempt to shoot a grazier and two land agents has b«en made near Ballnia, County Mayo, Ireland. Th« shots fired were unsuccessful, and the intended victims escaped. No clue has yet been obtained to the perpetrate!s of the outrages. It is now officially announced that Sir Julian Pauucefete is to be the legal Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs, vice Lord Tenterden, deceased, Oct, 9. Mr Andrew Marshall Porter, Q.C., will succeed Mr Johnson as AttorneyGeneral for Ireland. The Governor of Schik, in Siberia, has been murdered. The Homeward mails, via Suez and.
