ENGLISH AND FOREIGN. London, Oct. 2. Adelaide wheat, <j\: warehouse, is quoteJ at 40s, and New Zealand wheat, ex warehouse, 42s to 455 Gd. Adelaide flour, ex warehouse, is at 335. German company has been formed to colonise New Guinea. Oct. S. Ten members of a new secret society, .termed the Patriotic Brothers,- -h-avc, been arrested at Armagh and committed for tral. The enquiry into the case brought to light some startling evidence, and revealed wide-Ifid plans for the systematic murder of landlords. Mr John Dillon, M.P., has been induced to postpone the resignation ef his seat for Tipperary. The wool sales hare closed. 345,<K0 bales were offered, and 41,00 were held over till next series. The amount sold for export was 100,000 bales. At the close of the sales superior combing wools wsre firmer, but other sorts were below the July closing rates. The last scries of sales will be held in November. News from the Cape is to the effect that Masupha refuses to submit to the Boers' authority, and Lerotholi is about to attack him, The Porte's troops have evcavated the disputed Grecian frontier. It is reported that a conspiracy for the dethronement ©f the King has been discovered in Servia. Two serious agrarian murders are reported to-day from Ireland, farmers in both cases being the victims. The scenes of the outrages were Boyle, in the County ot Eoscommou, and Castle Island, in County Kerry. Several arrests have been made of persons believed to be implicated in the murders. Consols remain at New Zealand securities have advanced by 1 per cent all round. The market for colonial breads tuffs and tallow is without quotable change. Oct. 4. The daggers used in the Fhocnix Park tragedy have been discovered in Dublin. The police believe that ten persons were concerned in the murders, and that they are sti.l concealed in Ireland. An embassy from the nativj Government of Madagascar has arrived at Marseilles. The tenants throughout Ulster are objecting to the Court valirrs, and Mr Trevelyan has vindicated the appointments, and threatens to abandon the Act if found unworkable. A congress of the Associated Chambers of Commerce has been opened at Gloucester. The Queen visits Cannes shortly. The jurors at the Bordeaux Exhibition have awarded eight gold medals and fifteen silver ones to JSew South Wales exhibitois ot wines, but thes« awards are subject to revision. The red wines are generally preferred, but the white of the new vintage commands a ready market, and large orders for both are being forwarded to Australia. Ths medium mutton by the Mat-aura, from New Zealand, only realised per lb, and the best only 5-|d. The Garonne meat brought s|-d, Berlin, Oct. 3. Frineo Bismarck's health has somewhat improved, and he is now coming from his country scat to Berlin to resume his official duties. St. Peteusuvug, Oct. 2. At t'ie instance of the Czar, a commuideation lias been addressed to the provincial Mayors, enjoining them to use drastic measures for the repression of auti-Jewish outbreaks. Capetom - x, Oct. 3. The smallpox epidemic which has been raging here for some time past is now abating.
