THE LINSEED INDUSTRY.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —On reaching home yesterday evening after our meeting ie praposed South Canterbury Linseed Oil, Cake, and Fibre Company, I found a letter from Mr J. Pearce, ef Christchurch, which arrived during my absence. In it be states that he received Temuka Leader from me. with account of shareholders’ meeting and establishment of Butter, Cheese, and Baconrcuring Factory, and proposed meeting re. Flax question yesterday. He also states that he has sent samples of fibre and twin*, running 720 feet to the lb, pair of plough reins, etc, made of my flax. He gives me many useful hints re flax industry, I can read|the whole of his letter at our coming meeting, if needed, but I hope he will be there in person to answer all questions.
