FEMALE COURAGE.
A. Gippsland journal records a most heroic action on the part of two young 1 ladies witnessed recently atJPaynesyille, and thinks their conduct should be brought under tlie notice of the Humane Society. It appears that, the waters of Lake King being very rough in consequence of the stormy weather, a man named Clancy and his wife were out sailing in a A iudden and heavy squall striking the boat it was capsized, ind the occupant! precipitated into the water. They succeeded, however in clinging to the upturned boat, but could not have remained long in that position. Fortunately their predicament was observed by the Misses King, daughters of .Captain King of Fort King. These young ladies being by themselves, could not call for assiaance, but they pluckily entered a leaky dingy and with very indifferent paddles used all efforts to reach Clancy and his wife. They eventually succeeded in doing so, and rescued tho two from what must otherwise have been inevitable death. Heroism such as this cannot be to highly commenced.
