STABBING CASE.
At Te Aroha in th® Auckland Provinc* smai named Leydon, was very loqua p ciou«, ./disturbed the boarders in a public house, T isd refused to go away when the landlord told him there was no accomodation for him. A man named O’Keefe went into the room and attempted to take away some of his clothes,with a vi*w of removing him, wh®n Leydon raised his arm, and O’Keefe seeing a knife in his hand with the blade pointing downwards, at once ebsed with his antagonist, and received severe cuts in the neck and back whilst wrestling with him and before as sistance cam* to separate them. Leydon was brought before Mr Wilkinson, Mayor of the Thames the following morning, and remanded,
