It is announced that Baron Mohaenhim, at present Russian Ambassador at Copenhagen, has been appointed Ambassador at London, vice Prince Lobanoff, appointed to Vienna. A man named Ogle has been arrested by the police at Manchester, on a charge of embezzling from Mr Duffett, of Melbourne. June 28. Wals!:, the Irishman who was recently arrested at Clerkenwell in connection with the seizure of arms at that place, was brought up at the Police Court yesterday, on a charge of high treason, and committed for trial. A rumor is current here to the effect that the authorities are in possession of evidence revealing the existence of a widespread Fenian conspiracy. have further declined to 99f, New Zealand securities remain at yesterday’s quotations. The market rale of discount has advanced £ per cent, and is now 2£, and the Bank rate 3 per cent. Adelaide and New Zealand wheat, ex store, is unchanged at 51s and 49s respectively. Adelaide flour, ex warehouse, is quoted at 355. Australian tallow—Best beef is quoted at 42s 6d, and best mutton at 44s 6d. The bidding at today’s wool sales was quiet. 6700 bales were offered.
