London, May 14. In the House of Commons today, Mr George Otto Trevelyan, Chief Secretary for Ireland, replying to a question, admitted that there was an appalling increase in the number of evictions now taking place in Ireland. June 17. Great efforts are being m tide to push the Irish Repression Bill through Parliament, aud its provisions are daily discussed in the House of Commons. Seven clauses of the measure have now been adopted in Committee.
