London, June 9. News have, been received from Ireland to the effect that Mr Bourbe, a Galway landlord, and a dragoon who was escorting him, have been shot at Ardrahan. The police have not yet succeeded in arresting the assassins. # Intelligence to hand from Irelandis again indicating a serious increase in the number of agrarian outrages in the Western District. Yesterday one farmer was murderedj- and two others seriously wounded. The causes of the outrages are not definitely known, and the assailants are still at large. M sGBODKNJi:, June 9. In the Victorian Assembly, the matter of the address to the Irish people, signed by Messrs Lougmore, Duffy, Brophy, O’Oallaghan and Toohey, was again under discussion last night, when an animated debate took place on the motion introduced by Mr Francis, expressing disapproval of the address, but accepting the assurance cf the signers of their loyalty to the Queen, and avowing'the same oh behalf of the whole House. After a lengthy discussion,and rejection of an amendment by Mr Berry that an address should be sent to Mr Gladstone approving of his Irish policy, Mr Francis’ motion was carried by S 7 to 21, June 10. At the request of Sir Bryan O’Loghlen, the Governor has. telegraphed to Earl Kimberley, the text of the resolutions passed by the Assembly on Thursday night on the subject of the.lrish address signed by certain oil its members.
