The legation in connection with the Dun * Edit outrage ! threatens to be'of a formidable cHa -p.cter. Two aciions are pending against Scotch newspapers for publishing certain ’statements regarding the third person suspected by the police ; and Philip, one of the men liberated the otter day, has instituted proceedings aga : nst Mr Alison, the London agent of the Earl of Crawford, .for stating in a letter to a London paper that he (Phillip) was an accessory after the act, and that be had written a letter to the earl spggesfci.og a ransom for the stolen remains.! The search for the retnrins of the late earl has f undergone a 'ne w and ! sirang e * development. For c -omo days - p:'t a party of spirit I’rlis.s from London, consisting of two ladies and two gentlemen, have been at Dun Edit House prosecuting their occult investigation fo ' the body. The stormy character of the weather inter'ered to some extent wi!h tbeir operations, but they state that in the : r trrnces they have distinctly seen the body being stolen from the tomb. The time of the year seemed to be earlier than May. Three then were engaged in the robbery. "They carried .the body, which' was'wrapped in,a covering, to a hop.se ’on ( , the estate', andhome time/afterwards-re-., moved it to a field that slopes towards a a wood. This is the exact locality fixed upon by the young man whose dream recently referred to. The experiment is not yet concluded.
