Fatal Shooting Case in Otago.—A man named John Eatto, of Miller's Flat, went to the. residence of his ; isonan law, Joseph' Augustus-Roggiero, about on Monday night, and-without: any warning, shot through the window/with a rifle at Roggiero, who was sitting by-the. fire. The scream 3 of Roggiero's wife attracted her brother-in-law who had to pass Kittp's house'. Kitto shot him also, the ball entering the wrist and coming out at the elbow. Eoggiero •died a short time afterwards.' Kittfp, who was in the Lunatic Asylum : some time ago, came to Eoxbprough and gave himself up to the- police.. The brother-in-law, who was shot, through the arm was named- Peter Klogh..;. Be was son-in-law'of Kitto..• Later nows state that- Kitto, who is now in the lock-up at Roxburgh, is eridently suffering from religious mania. When told_ his son-in-law was dead, he' replied —"Praise' be to Q-od.'' It is just, reported that, unfavorable .systoms are showing in the wounded maq Klo-h.
