IRISH AFFAIRS.

The police have as yet failed to arrest the assassins of Lord Frederick Cavendish, but from information which has come to their hands they entertain a strong belief that the murderers are still concealed in Dublin.

Riots have occurred at Cuvragh (County Kildare) between English and Irish residents. The disturbances were of a serious nature, and were with difficulty quelled. The authorities of Dublin have published an official description of the assasias of Lord Cavendish and Mr Burke. A reward ol £SOO has also been offered for any information that may lead to the apprehension of any persons harhoring the assassins. The reward, £IO,OOO, offered by the Government for information leading to the capture and conviction of the murderers of Lord Cavendisn and Mr Burke has been increased to £12,5C0, no reliable clue having yet been obtained as to the identity of the murderers.

Mr rftrnell, the leader of the Land League Party, and Michael Davitt, the originator of the Land League, express a fear that the Fenians' vengeance will be directed against them, as they a-e charged with having abandoned the I'-ish cause.

Arrests continue to be made by the police in co-nn action with the recent tragedy in Pbcoo'x Paik. American branches of the Irish National Laud League are offering large rewards for the conviction of the perpetrators of the recent outrage in Ireland.

O'Donovan Rossa, editor of the United liishman, justifies the policy of the Irish Nationalists, but denounces the murder of Lord F. Cavendish and Mr Bu'-ke.
