GREEN & CO.'S >ATENT SELF-ACTING CINDERSIFTING ASH CLOSET. The excreta is instantly deodorised, and no smell is perceptible even though it is allowed to stand for twelve months. This Ash-Closet differs from the Earth Closet, inasmuch as it makes use of ordinary house ashes instead of dry eanh. By the pressure upon the seat, the nsh dust is separated from the cinders and scattered over the sdl on each use of the Closet, and so any bad smells are prevented.
The Cinners are saved for re-biirmng. A valuable ready made manure is produced.
No other Closet does the above without infringing this patent. Dry earth may be used with the CinderSifting Asli Closet, but ashes, unless previously sifted, cannot be used with the Earth Closet.
It answers equally well for wood ashes or dry eart 1 ). No well regulated household should be without them. Only emptied evtry twelvemonths. Saves the first expense in~two years. The manure manufactured by the Cinder-sifter is valued at 25 shillings rer ton at Home. The Patent can be adapted to old closets.
