LAND SALE.
A most important of land situated at Orari was held last Thursday by Messrs J. T. Ford and Co. The sale was an undoubted success in every pcint of view, and showed that once more land is rising in value. There was a large attendance of buyers, and the bidding was very spirited throughout. It was admitted on all sides to be the best land sale held since 1878. The land was purchased by bona fide residents and farmers, and the highest price obtained (£l4 per acre) was given by one of t&s oldeßt residents in the dis-
