The excreta is instantly deodorised, and no smell is perceptible even though it is allowed to stand for twelve months. This Aah-Olosot differs from the Earth Closet, inasmuch as it makes use of ordinary house ashes instead of dry earth. By the pressure upon the seat, the aah dust is separated from the cinders and scattered over the soil on each use of the Closet, and so any bad smells are prevented. The Cinders are saved for re-burning. - A valuable ready made manure is produced. No other Closet does the above, without infringing tids patent. Dry earth may be used with thaCinderAsu Ci'JSvt, but allies, unless previously silted, cannot bo used with the Ear h Closet. Id answers eqn liy well for wood ashes ■nr dry earth.
