(Pee Pbess Association ) Auokljlnp, Feb. 18. The Waikato Land Company have purchased Mr Hunt's estate at Hokonui for £6 per acre. New Plymouth, Feb 19. A most successful blast was made today at the harbor works, when the best part of Fishing Rock was displaced. Two tons of powder were used, and about 20,000 cubic yards of rock were broken up. Wellington, Feb. 18. It is officially notified in a supplementary Gazette that goods consigned for exhibition at the International Exhibition, to be held at Chrishchurch during April, 1»82, will be carried free on New Zeal ami railways, provided that they shall he so carried at the sole risk of tbe consignor, and that eich package shall be consigned to the promoters of the exhibition, and marked legibly, " For exhibition at Christchurch I International Exhibition " ; that the loading and unloading shall be done at the expense of the consi/nors, and! that in the event of such exhibits being sold, full railway charges shall be paid.
