Ihe conditions are the concession by t'.e former of the province of Tarapaka in, lieu ot the transfer oi the. guano.deposits of Lobos Isiand, and an idemnity of twenty millions, payable in sixteen .years ; in,the*rneantime. chili ti> occupy Arien, and retain it if the indemnity is. not pajd in the specified time. In the event of these terms being refused by Peru, Chili will decline further mediation on the part of the ! United States. Jan. 30.
