Mackay. ..._-, MINUTES. ] : l> , The minutes of the last-meeting were read and .confirmed. -,•; '/■; CORRESPONDENCES .; The following correspondence was read and considered : '■' iU: ?i From the Geraldine County Council, enclosing copy of a letter from the Public Works Office, with reference to the terminus of thePairlie Creek Railway being pi .iced on. the (fovernmertc reserve, and stating that satisfactory arrangements have been.made to meet the requirements of the present, township. , The Cierk was directed to .write to the Minister for Public Works statihgthat no arrangement would be deemed satisfactory which did not include a shed for grain and other produce, as this season one farmer alone has 3000 acres in grain, and another 1000 aerjs, besides numerous other areas of smaller extent, and next year thp amount will probably be doubled. From the Geraldine County Council, requesting to be informed of the amount of rates collected by , } the Board for the year 1880. . . From Mr L. Reville, enclosing account for services rendered as consulting engineer to the Board. The amount was passed for payment. The Overseer was directed to call for tenders for improving Sugrue's cutting ; to inspect the swauap on the road at - "Upper Orari and report at next meeting ; to write to the Mount Cook Road Board, asking for a copy of their district -^ap. ACCOUNTS. Accounts to the, amount of £42 9s 6d •ware passed for payment. The meeting then,a4journed.
