Building stone is found on the piopcity, and marble within a few chains, of a very superior description, also abounds. 'The Building Stone is a fine white stone, easily worked, and does not disintegrate from exposure to weather some quantity of this stone having been vsed in th? building of the Christchurch Cathedral. A hit ge cuanlity of good Timber is in close proximity to the ground and easily obtainable.
