NATIVE AFFAIRS.
The two men who were dismissed from tiie Taranaki Mounted Rifle Curp> have had informations laid and summonses taken out against them for appropriating articles when searching wluues north of Waitara for aims. Hiroki has been committed for trial on the charge of stealing a double-ban eded gun and other articles, the property of Mr W Taylor, of Waitotara. The No. 5 Company of Constabulary has been transferred to Pniigarehn ; Captain M> ssenger is in charge. The Rahotu camp is now entirely dismay if d. Nos. 1,3, 4 and 6 Companies are now stationed at Pat iliaka. The road to the new camps at Pun gareltu are now completed, and the cookhouses are being built. The natives are busy working at their cultiva 1 ions.
