PHRENOLOGICAL.

Professor Simon, phrenologist, is at the present time on a visit to Temuka, and, judging from the success of his entertainment in the Volunteer Hall last evening, has succeeded in turning the heads of the good folk. He is quite an adept in his profession, and can delineate character whilst blindfolded, in no. instance failing to give a truthful description, as many of our Timaru friends can testify. It is astonishing that a person ean tell the peculiarities of anyone's character, more especially at a moment's notice, and the delineated perfect strangers to the delineart. The Professor has just closed a very successful season at Timaru, and we trust he will be well patronised during his stay amongst ourselves. Last night he gave an entertainment in the Volunteer Hall, commencing with a very interesting lecture. At the conclusion of the same, the Professor proceeded to delineate the characters of some of our well-known townsmon in a very truthful manner, after which he gave their characters whilst blindfolded. The phrenologist possesses a rare faculty, that of keeping his aiiciwe in a good humor throughout his entertainment, singlehanded. As he will repeat his entartaiument to-night, we would strongly urge our readers to pay hi«n a visit. The professor will be |in attendance at the Vo. lunteer Hall from «J a.m to 6 p.m. to-day. to give verbal readings, when charts may also be obtained.
