TEMUKA AND GERALDINE RAM FAIR.

The annual ram and ewe fair, held under the auspices of the Temuka and Geraldine Agricultural and Pastoral Association, took place yesterday in their grounds near Winchester. The weather was splendid, yet the attendance was but limited. The entries for sale by Mr K. F. Gray, consisted of the following ;—668 rams, 16 rams, and 12 ewes, the property of Mr R. A. Barker ; 150 merino sheep, belonging to Mr H, Granger ; 150 ditto,. Mr Robertson. owner ; ; 8, pigs,, belonging to Mr McCullen 18,rams,, and 126 cross-breds, Mr Guinness, owner ; 0, Lincoln rams and 20 merino, rams, the- property of Mr Grant; 3 rams, Mr Paterson, owner. Entered by Messrs Wildie, Allan and Stumbles 25. rams, owned by Mr Jackson. Entered by Messrs Maclean and donald ; 48 rams, Mr Cox ; 80 Romney Marsh, ewes, Mr F. H. Barker ; 26 rams, Mr Slack ; 3 ditto, Mr Patterson ; 2 ditto, Mr Palmer ; 43 ditto, Mr Grant. Entered by Mr Muudell . 4 rams, owned by Mr Kenndey. Several sales were effected, satisfactory rates,being obtained for the various lots disposed of. Mr L. Tombs, of the Crown Hotel, Temuka, had a booth on the ground, and apparently drove a thriving trade duringthe continuance of the show.
