Tkmuka Leauee Office, Wednesday Evening, To-day Mr K. P. Gray held his usqql monthly auction sale at his yards, Temukq. There was a large attendance, but, on account of the drought, buyers kept back from purchasing freely, The quantity of stock yarded comprised as follows : Sheep. —900 sheep, nearly all of which were passed in, biddings not reaching vendors' reserves. One pen of fat sheep realised 9» 9d. ■' Pigs.—ln pigs there vr® 3 a large |;entry—--6- —bringing very fair pi ices, viz. : weaners, ,12s 6d to 15s ; average grown, from 20s to 80s ; breeding sows, from 42s to 70s. Fat Cattle.—9 head were yarded, realising a« follows : sat £6 15s ; 2 fat heifers, £4 iOs ; 2 sieers, £4 15s. Cows in full profit.—l2 were entered, but owing to continued drought, onlv 3 were sold, realising from £4 las to £5 15s. Sheepskins and Sundries—A lot of sheepskins were also submitted to the hammer, fetching over vendors’, reserves ; and a large quantity of fowls’ feed was also disposed of at very fair rates. Horses.—Several hacks were submitted for competition, but were withdrawn.
