The «' M'lvor Times " records that at Tooborac on January 31 a man named Geo. Robinson, blacksmith of that place, while endeavouring to put out a 1 übli fire which had broken out on his property, wap literally roasted alive. It wonld appear that deceased had a man named Thomas Wilson employed burning- charcoal for him, and the fire from the kiln communieating with the grass set fire to it, when the man finding he could not stop it, cooeyed, and deceased came to h ; s assistance. How the fire overtook deceased is not known, as Wilson left him to go to the other side; that being the last tiait» he saw him alive. It is, however, supposed that he was overcome by the heat and smoke. Deceased's wife, becoming alarmed at her husband's prolonged absence, went out early next morning in company with Wilson to search for him and, sad to relate, they found his body, with a ll the clothes burned off and the skin completely charred, about twenty yards from where he was la«t seen by Wilson,
