THE PROPOSED TOWN CLOCK.
TO THE EDTIOR. Sir, — Your article on the advantages of a clock for the town is well worthy the consideration of the residents of Temnka and surrounding districts, as there cannot be a doubt that a clock of the description you gave would be a great boon to the place. I quite agree with you that the Road Board and the Government ought to contribute a share. The Park Board, a short time ago, voted a small sura towards ho clock, the members of the Board thereby acknowledging the necessity of it. I feel sure, if the advantages of the clock were properly laid before the members of the Road Board, they would do likewise. The matter only requires taking in hand by two or three energetic persons to bring it to a satisfactory con-
and foe that reason JL allow the matter pen frequently till the OuJCt is Believing, that a clock would be of advantage to the place, and to show my sincerity in the matter, I am willing fo give my mite towards a clock fund. a com* mittee be formed you are a£ jSberty to state the amount I am willing to contribute. I am, &c., Cokbect Time.
