MILFORD SCHOOL.

The prizes awarded to children attending the above school were distributed by Mr Oox, Chairman of Committee, on Friday last, Tiie early part of the day was devoted to sports of various kinds, and the children partook of an excellent tea provided by the ladies of the district. After a few remarks of congratulation to the successful competitors, and of encouragement to the unsuccessful ones, Mr Cox proceeded to make the presentations, which consisted of several large and handsome volumes. The children having sung one or two selections, Mr Hayhurst was asked to address the meeting* and spoke at some length upon the advantage of the educational system, but deplored the legislature which,excluded the Bible from the curriculum. After the customary acknowledgment the children were dismissed in high spirits. The following is a list of the awards : PRIZES. Standard VI. —William Christmas (dux) Standard V.—Adaßrogden.
