Sydney, Dec. 8. . A shanty-keeper has been murdered at Albury by a swagman, who also atr tempted to murder his daughter. : fired the hut for the purpose'of cond cealing the crime. The murderer been arrested. Mr Norton, who was shot at Dubbcv is steadily recovering. H.M. corvette Emerald, belonging to the Australian squadron, has l.ft for the Solomon Group in order to avenge the murder of the Commander ' and several of the crew of H.M. schooner Sandfly.
