Mr K. F. Gray reports holding his first w ol sale in his new stores, on Wednesday, November 24, when 28 bales were catalogued. There was a very good attendance of and very satisfactory prices realised The following are the prices obtained frem "the various lots : —Four bags cross-breds, Bfd : 1 bale pure bred eWsi, 9d ; 1 bale locks and pieces. 5d one eighth ; 6 bales three-quarter and pure bred, 9£d ; 13 bales cross-breds, 9£d . 2 bales pieces, 5d one-eighth; 1 bale locks, 4id ; 1 bag black wool, 6d. Several lots not reaching vendors' prices were withdrawn, but have since been quitted at satisfactory prices. Skins —Cross-bred skins fetched from 4s 6d to 5s 3d, and merinos, rather inferior, Is scl. Tallow—A quantity of thi3 was sold at from lid to Ifd. Oats—He also sold on the same day 700 bushels oats, at Is Id per bushel Stock —Since his last report a few transactions have taken place, when former prices were fairly maintained The demand stil 1 continues active for store sheep, an:l the prices may be quoted as follows: —600 two tooth cross bred stores, 8s ; fat sheep, 8s 6d to9s6d. At his land sale on Friday last a great many lots were submitted, but not reaching vendors' reserves were withdrawn. Two lots only were disposed of, viz., 31 acres, belonging to the late Mr Frank Major, at £2O, and half an ajre next to the Star Hotel, at £SB.
