. STOCK REPORT.
Mr & F. Gray reports Ins monthly sale of •took which took place on Wednesday, November 17th, 1880, at his, hew yards (opposite Presbyterian Church), Temuka, as under; — The entries were.—7oo half bred shepp, 103 head cattle, and 12 horses, (draught and hacks)’. ' • , Sheep—There was a large attendance of buyers, but the bidding for the sheep was dull and unspirited and pot realising vendors prices were passed. Cattle—Of the fat bullocks, numbering 20, all were sold, fetching on an average 20s to 22s 6d per lOOlbs; 29 store cattle were entered, but 22 not reaching owners’ reserves, were not sold,'the balance soid at from £o 2s - 6d to £5 os'; 25 yearlings were sold at from £3 10s to £2 12s 6d, -and a lot of cows and springing heifers brought prices panging, from £5 5s to £7 7s Gd.
Horses— Five of which were heavy draughts sold from £22 1 0s to £33 10s j hacks, seven Were entered, but only one was' sold at £l4.
