ASSAULT Emma Dickson v Philp—Mr Hammersley for defendant. Case dismissed. DRUNK AND DISORDERLY. John Daley, for the above offence, was fined 10s or 48 hours imprisonment. civil cases. Jones v. Hunt.—Judgment summons. Ordered to pay 40s per month, first payment to be made on the Gfch December, or one month's imprisonment. Fox v. J. Hunt —Judgment summons. Ordered to pay 40s per month, first payment to be made on 20th December ; in default 14 days' imprisonment. Gregory v. Morris.- Judgment summons Ordered to be paid forthwith, or 2 months' imprisonment. K. F. Gray v. H. D. McPherson. Claim £43. Mr Austin for plaintiff. Judgment by default for amount claimed and costs.
C. Storey v. D. Martin—Claim £6 13s 4d. Judgment by default for amount and costs.
Temuka Road Board v. Leach.—Claim £3 for rates. Judgment for amount and costs.

Judgment confessed for £l2 10s Judgment for full amount and costs, to be paid in fourteen days. EanKiu v. Young— Clain £32 Is 3d tor trespass. Mr Htmimersly for plaintiff; Mr White for defendaut. - Plaintiff non suited with costs
Liston v Roberts (native). Judgment summons. Ordered to be paid on the 20th December, or 14 days' imprisonment. Liston v Happi (native). Judgment summons. Ordered to be paid in one month, or seven days' imprisonment A Russell v Egglestone Judgment summons. Claim £lO 4s Mr Austin for plaintiff Case dismissed. A. Russell v Carter. Judgment sum mons. Mr Austin for plaintiff. Case dismissed.
C. Storey v J. Hunt.—Claim £t I7s Ordered to be paid on oi before 9th December
Mr Morris attended the Court to explain that he wae totally unable to pay the sum ordered by the Court, having been laid up for some months He had eight children, of whom only two were able to provide for themselves His Worship said he would postpone the case for two months, so as to enable the defendant some oppor tunity of paying
