It appears that the operation of skingrafting has been tried in New Zealand, but only with partial success. It will I be remembered (says the Post) that m our telegrams a case was reported m which a boy named Hamilton obtained damages against a pilot named Love, at Nelson, for being the cause of his getting severely scalded on the wharf. The lad, it seems, was attended by Dr Farrelle and DrCollins, and the operation of t kingrafting was tried. For this purpose 21 pieces of skin were cut off the mother’s arm and grafted on the boy’s lt.g. At first the grafts answered but the boy got lower and lower, and at last had no sufficient * vitality for the. grafts to strike. He,was then removed to thi Hospital, and there improved a great deal, although it is stated it will take at least three- months for him to. get all right again,
