ENGLISH AND FOREIGN. London, oept. 28. In the cricket match, which was resumed this morning at the Crystal Palace ground between the Australian* and the Players of England, the former
have scored 133 in their first innings. The Players are, therefore 43 to the bad. In the Australian's innings, McDonnell was caught for 28 runs. The players went in for their second innings and scored 82, all out. Palmer and Boyle again bowled bowled well, the former taking six and the latter three wickets. The Australians, who required 40 runs to win the match went in for their second innings, and when the stumps were drawn for the day had put together lo runs for three wickets down. There was a thick haze over the--" ground all day, which seriously interfered with the play. It is announced that the French Government has instructed the Commander jf the French vessels forming part of the combined fleet, to abstain from taking part with the squadron in any act of coercion towards Turkey. Steps pre being taken by a number of colonists in England to present a testimonial to the Australian cricketers before they return to Australia. Several leading Liberals representing a considerable section of the party are urging the Government to call Parliament together again in November. It is feared that the demands of Montenegro thft the Powers should take, some steps cf coercion towards Turkey beyond a naval demonstration will jeopardise the latter being carried into effect. England and Russia are willing to carry out the display, but it is doubtful if the other Powers who have sent vessels to Ragusa will consent to act in conceit.

Riza Pasha the Turkish commander, has notified to the Montenegrins that if their troops cross the frontier into Albania, the step will be deemed a casus bellia. Intelligence has been received thai the M-mten- grins have asked the aid oi Grat Powers to enable them to obtain possession of Dulcigno. They solicit the Powers to take some steps beyond cordon through the fleet. The Admirals in command of the vessels formiug tho squadron have referred to their respective Government* for instructions. Sept. 29. Reinforcements of troops are being , sent to Riza Paah-, the Turkish commander at Dulcigno, in view of possible hostilities with the Montene-j grins. I
