News comes to hand that a mutiny has broken out among the troops of the Khan of Khelat in Beloochistan, ar.d orders have been given for a wing of one of the Highlands regiments stationed at Quettah to p oceed to the assistance cf Khan without delay. According to the latest nows from Candahar, Ayoub Khan has withdrawn his force to a position eight miles to the wist of ihe ci adel, ana has thus virtually raised the siege. It is b.dieved this is due to G-ener I Robert*' advance towards Candahar.

It has now transp'red that thf> news receive;] to-day regarding the mutiny among the troops of the Khan of Khelat is greatly exaggerated. London, Aug. 27.

A report is current at Plymouth today that the troopship Serapis is to be fitted to convey the Prince and Princess of Wales to Melbourne, and that a detached squadron and the Bacchante will accompany their Royal Highnesses. A telegram has been received to-day giving an account of a terrific hurricane which has passed Jamaica in the West Indies, and has caused great damage throughout the Island. Thousands are rendered homeless, and are starving. In the port ot Kingston forty wrecks have occurred, owing to the force of the storm. In the House of Commons, last night a Bill regulating the stowage of grain Cargoes, was lead a third time and passed. The House then proceeded to deal with the Estimates, and on the vote for the Irish Constabulary b"ing proposed tao Home rule and other Irish member? opposed it, on the ground of the military character of the constabulary force. A long and excited debate followed, the Irish members vigorously obstructing the passing of the vote. The discussion lasted during the remainder of the sitting, which did not close until noon to-day, when progress was reported and the House adjourned. The debate will be resume j on Monday next. Trickett and Layeock are now both at Putney, training together for their respective races with Han Jon and Blackman.
