He also informed me that he shortly intends fencing along the river bank within liis own boundry, and that he will then take down the fence complained of; but if the Board wishes .it, ho will do it at once. So under circumstances I thought it unnecessary to forward tracing to Timaru. It was decided that if Mr Edgar still wishes the fence removed, Mr Irving is to have notice.
Mr Roberts wished me to ask the Board to shingle about 7 or 8 chains of the Middle Swamp road, opposite Trevenna. Agreed to.
I agreed with Mr Bateman to clear out the creek between Marshal’s road and the Middle Swamp road, so far as necessary, at the same price per chain as he is getting for the Sod Town creek, which when done will help to reliere Mrs McKenzie of the water complained of. It was decided to take necessary steps. In the matter of pipes applied for by Mr Phillips.
