WELLINGTON, June 80.

Tho Chamber of Commerce held a meeting this a ternoon to consider a letter from Parliament re bankruptcy. The Chamber recommended—(l) That a bankrupt estate be administered by an official assignee, to be an offic tof the Court, t;iat the creditors appoint a tustee to act in conjunction with him. (2) That the circumstances which should disentitle a bankrupt to his discharge •hon’d be : Failure to keep his books, fraudulent disposal of property, dertroying or falsifying books, or non payment of seven shillings in the L. (3) That no bill of sale shall take effect until registered; that every bill of sale given by a trader over stocked-in-trade shall be absolutely void as against the claim of any creditor whose debt was existing at the date of the bill of sale. (4) Deed of arrange should be abolished (5) That no debtor shall be discharged until after examination in any court.
